What is the Alumni Community Hub?
The Alumni Community Hub is an exclusive platform for alumni to:
- Connect with thousands of like-minded changemakers at colleges and companies across the globe.
- Search for alumni around the world by year, field, location, etc.
- Discover opportunities for jobs, internships, grants, and more.
- Join expert-led workshops, career conversations, and other exclusive events.
What kinds of events are available for alumni?
- Leading Ideas – Join discussions with leading experts on the new ideas that are shaping the future.
- Expert-led workshops – Gain new skills and knowledge from experts in a variety of fields.
- Work Wonders – Alumni share their career journeys and the insights they’ve learned along the way.
- Global Gathering – This is the annual gathering for all alumni to virtually reconnect and learn from each other.
How can I find out about upcoming events?
We post these events on all our social media pages as well as the Alumni Community Hub. Visit the events page for specific dates of these events along with the registration details.
How can I volunteer to moderate an event?
Submit your application through the Alumni Community Hub under Resources.
Communication
I’m not receiving the alumni newsletter. What should I do?
The usual culprit is an outdated email address. Login to the Alumni Community Hub to check that your profile has your preferred email address. Alternatively, you can email alumni@globalcitizenyear.org with your new contact details.
How do I get in touch with my former Team Leader or Instructor?
For data protection purposes we can’t pass on personal contact details. Instead, we recommend you try platforms like LinkedIn or Facebook. Failing that you can contact alumni@globalcitizenyear.org and we’ll email your information to the former staff member.
How can I get in touch with alumni from a particular country / industry / class year?
The best place to go is the Alumni Community Hub. In the Alumni Directory you’ll be able to search by interests, industry, location, cohort, and more! You can also visit our alumni LinkedIn Group or Facebook Group.
