Apprenticeships
Textbooks and lecture halls can only take you so far when you want to create change in the world. Getting hands-on experience out in the world makes all the difference. That’s where Take Action Lab’s apprenticeships come in.
Let’s get into it:
01 WHAT TO EXPECT
Tilting Futures will match you with an organization advancing issues you care about so you can get hands-on experience and learn how to make a meaningful contribution.
MATCHING
Share your interests and skills in a questionnaire, and we’ll pair you with an apprenticeship along with 1-2 other students. You’ll find out your placement a few weeks before you travel.
LEARNING
Being curious and proactive goes a long way. Look for ways to tailor your role, and match your skills with the organization’s needs.
MENTORSHIP
An experienced supervisor provides training and mentorship to help maximize your learning and your impact. Learn from their guidance, and from being part of a larger team.
LOGISTICS
Your apprenticeship relies on you being there for 5-8 hours, 4 days a week. Commuting could mean a walk, Uber-ride, or public transport. Expect a 15-45 minute trip. However you travel, commute costs are covered by your living stipend.
