Born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Fikrte came to the United States at the age of eight. She now lives with her parents, brother, and two sisters in Tucker, Georgia. She graduated high school after completing the International Baccalaureate Program, and earning the diploma. Her passions include education and medicine in developing nations.
