Shaquerra is passionate about youth empowerment and learning about other cultures. She is involved as a peer leader of a health group for LGBTQ middle school youth, a community service volunteer, and captain of her girl's high school fencing team. Shaquerra would like to improve her language skills and immerse herself in the beauty of lives and culture in a new country. Shaquerra is inspired by her community and organizations who work to support youth and positive community building.
