Global Citizen Year Academy
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, our virtual Academy brought our signature curriculum to 1500+ students from 89 countries.
Education on Purpose
Over the 12-week semester, students gained clarity, confidence, and concrete skills to connect their values with the change they want to see in the world.

Leadership skills to help solve global challenges
Guided by expert instructors and alongside like-minded peers worldwide, students developed a deeper understanding of their strengths, purpose, and identity. Students also gained concrete leadership skills in public speaking, asset-based community development, conducting root cause analysis, writing a project proposal, and pitching their ideas.
Connections with young leaders from 80+ countries
The Academy brought together a diverse, motivated, and open-minded, community. Together, students deepened their understanding of the world, forged long-term friendships, and developed cross-cultural skills to address our shared global challenges.
World-class speakers, instructors & mentors
Ask Melinda Gates about philanthropy. Discuss mindfulness with Jay Shetty. Students joined conversations like these in the Academy’s speaker series. They also received one-on-one support from our network of nearly 200 mentors.
