Capstone Videos

Here is a video I made with some moments from my time in Ecuador. I want to emphasize that these are only highlights from my time and do not represent the entire story of my gap year or the country itself. My gap year was incredibly meaningful, full of amazing stories but also some incredibly difficult times. With this video I tried to use clips from all the places I visited to give you all a little glimpse into my experiences.

I attached a “1 second everyday video” as well. Starting in October, almost everyday I took a one second clip and joined them all together into one video. I think this is really cool because it shows what I would do on a daily basis – the exciting things and the normal, “dull” moments.

About Barbara Peck

Barbara Peck is passionate about service, education equality, learning languages, and cultural immersion. She enjoys traveling, exercising, trying new foods, and meeting new people. During high school, she was a member of the Lower Merion buildOn chapter. With buildOn, Barbara did service around her community, including tutoring children and feeding the homeless in Philadelphia. As well as helping members of the community, she worked to break down poverty and illiteracy by providing education in the third world. Barbara travelled with buildOn to Malawi and Haiti in high school to start the construction of primary schools. Her goals for the year are to create a long-lasting impact in her host community, develop a stronger sense of direction, meet some awesome people, and become fluent in Spanish.
