Dear Steven Frost,
With not much time left as I write this to you on December 18, 2017 I am thinking back on all the laughs and smiles you brought into my life. You are one strong little boy who has experienced a loss that no little boy should ever have to experience when you lost your mom. You are young now, but I hope you keep this letter and remember me. I met you while I lived in Ecuador for several months and worked at your school. You are an extraordinary young man!
Seeing you each day was a highlight for me. Whether we worked on your math or English, you never failed to make me laugh or smile. You impacted my time here in a positive way as you were one of my very favorite people. I believe that you will grow to be a strong and loving young man, and the woman who ends up with you will be very lucky. I know that day is far in the future, but you will make her very happy. You have such a beautiful spirit and that smile of ours is like the sunlight; it brings joy to everyone who is around you. I want you to know that even if I am across the ocean and I’m not physically with you in person, I’m always going to be there in spirit.
Some advice for you when life gets hard (and it will at times) is there is always light at the end of tunnel. My year away from home has taught me this…somehow the world has a way of giving you something good when you need a little good. Never stop laughing it’s the best thing in the world. Last but not least, I want you to remember that you are already loved by many people including myself. I wish you all the luck in the world, there is so much out there for you I can feel it in my heat and soul. I will forever remember you.
Much Love,
Allison Vaught
