Nick is passionate about human rights and exploring new cultures. As vice president of his school's Hunger Awareness Leaders of Tomorrow (HALT) club, Nick has been involved in raising awareness about local and world poverty, After his experiences volunteering in Malaysia, he has developed into a strong advocate for social justice and human rights and hopes to improve access to education. Nick's goals for his year in Brazil are to make life long friends and learn more about himself in the context of a global classroom. His favorite quote is, "I will put in 100% of my energy and effort for that 1% of possibility" proclaimed by his friend Chuhan.
