About Ara Vickers

Ara is passionate about singing, painting, climbing trees, and creating zines in her free-time. She is involved in changing international policy to better support the environment, helping endangered or abused animals, and generating her local community's interest in governmental matters. Her goals for the year are to learn Portuguese (and Spanish on the side), connect and learn from her local community, cultivate new skills, find new passions while pursuing old ones, and have plenty of adventurous stories to tell at the end. As someone who loves to write, she draws inspiration from the stoic beauty of nature and the people she encounters.
