For my capstone I presented to a few of my high school classes about my experience doing GCY. I was reminded of my junior and senior year when it really seemed there was only one path, or only one "right" path, after high school. I told students how I wished there was someone telling me about other options, other paths to be taken. Paths that didn’t mean I wouldn’t go to college, but gave me an opportunity to explore that I may never get again. I hope I was able to expose at least a few to the idea of a Global Citizen Year. It truly changed the course of my life, and I hope, will continue to influence the decisions and person I am to become.
