The thoughts that ran through my head during the start of my application up to where I am today:

Look at that, you got in.
On the 2nd week of June you graduate, next comes the summer, then Ecuador.
Be ready to leave your friends for a month vacation.
After this vacation, you only have two weeks left at home.
Let these two weeks go slow and the next eight months go fast.
Can you find more stuff to pack and things you need to buy?
In the basement, for the last time, with all your friends until April.
Thank them for all the good times; you leave in 12 hours.
In the car, at the airport, in California, on the bus, with all these Fellows?
Zen-like meditation?
Exactly what I didn’t expect “training” for another country to be like.
Now on a plane, off to Ecuador, living in a hostel, and now with a family for three weeks.
Yikes can’t imagine what seven months with a family will be like, three weeks seems long.
Everyone gets placed and I’m in Guachapala, Ecuador.
All these people are so welcoming, huge family, and now the journey begins.
Remember why you’re here, do great work, and become a better person.
